The Resolution Copper project is a proposed underground copper mine in the Copper Triangle, approximately 60 miles east of Phoenix, Arizona, in the western United States.

Resolution Copper has the potential to be one of the largest copper mines in America, provide up to one‑quarter of the nation’s copper demand and create several thousand direct and indirect jobs.

The proposed project will rely on a caving method to extract the deposit located more than 2,000 meters deep. This technique uses gravity to help extract the ore and is the most viable way to recover the resource.

In June 2025, the federal government published the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Draft Record of Decision, an important milestone in the federal permitting process. The project is currently awaiting completion of a land exchange, which will allow access to the ore body for further characterisation and future development.

We continue to advance partnership discussions with federally recognised Native American Tribes who are part of the formal consultation process. While there is significant local support for the project, we respect the views of opposition groups and remain committed to addressing and mitigating their concerns.
