Our integrated operations – including rail and port infrastructure – ensure we can supply the right quality product to our customers when they need it. We operate 4 independent shipping terminals at 2 locations – Cape Lambert, near Wickham, on the traditional lands of the Ngarluma People and Dampier, near Karratha, on the traditional lands of the Ngarluma and Yaburara Peoples.
We manage these terminals as a single port system, allowing us to deliver products to our customers efficiently and reliably. We also blend our products at our ports, bringing together iron ore from across our Pilbara operations to produce consistent, high-quality products that meet our customers’ specifications.
Located on Western Australia’s north-west coast near Wickham, Cape Lambert comprises 2 terminals, Cape Lambert A and Cape Lambert B, and loads approximately 4 ships each day. Train unloading facilities, stockyards and ship loaders work together to keep ore moving efficiently from mine to market. The site exports several of our iron ore products, including Pilbara Blend™, helping supply customers across Asia and other global markets. In May 2026, we celebrated shipping 8 billion tonnes of iron ore from the Pilbara to customers around the world, with the milestone shipment departing from Cape Lambert.
Located on Western Australia’s north-west coast near Karratha, Dampier Port comprises 2 terminals – Parker Point and East Intercourse Island – and loads approximately 3 ships each day. Nearby, we operate Dampier Salt Limited (DSL), a joint venture we’re a majority owner of, and one of the world's largest salt producers. DSL’s port facility exports up to 4.2 million tonnes of high-quality solar salt each year. August 2026 marks 60 years since the first shipment of iron ore left Dampier ports for Japan, an achievement our entire Pilbara operation can stand behind.
