West Angelas is one of our most technologically advanced iron ore operations in the Pilbara.
Located about 110 kilometres west of Newman, the site sits on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
West Angelas was the first mine to trial autonomous haul trucks and today operates one of the largest autonomous mining fleets in the region.
The high-grade, low-phosphorous Marra Mamba orebody is a key contributor to the Pilbara Blend, delivering lump and fines products on around 4 trains each day.
The hub includes state-of-the-art power generation and refueling facilities that support East Pilbara mine sites.
Future growth is driven by projects like the West Angelas Sustaining Project (WASP) and West Angelas A-West (WAAW), a major expansion to develop new pits (A-West 1, 2, 3) with first new ore expected around 2025-2027, as well as additional deposits under study.
