Bell Bay Aluminium has agreed, in principle, to a 12-month extension to its current power contract beyond its end date of 31 December 2025. This extension will ensure continued safe and stable production as negotiations continue with Hydro Tasmania and the Tasmanian Government towards a new 10-year agreement. It also allows time for the outcome of the Federal Government’s Green Aluminium Production Credit program to be known.
