Consumers are more mindful than ever that goods they purchase are produced sustainably – which includes a responsible supply chain with strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) credentials.
Our global value chain includes 20,000 suppliers across multiple industries and countries. These suppliers are critical to the success of our business. So we work closely with them to build capacity, support innovation, and recognise their significant economic contribution and community support.
One way we’re doing that in Western Australia is with a new Supplier Recognition Awards program. This year around 180 local suppliers were nominated for awards.

GBSC Yurra won our Western Australia Supplier of the Year Award, and were a finalist in our Local Engagement category for investing in local employment in regions we operate in, and making a positive impact on the wellbeing and value of the community.
Boton won our Chief Executive Award category and were a finalist in our Environmental Sustainability category, recognising their contribution to reducing emissions across operations and supporting us to achieve our ESG objectives.
Coregas won our Vice President of Procurement Awards, and were a finalist in our Care, Courage and Curiosity category, recognising their commitment to place people at the heart of their business by building a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace and culture.
CSI Mining Services won our Operational Excellence category for going above and beyond to tackle obstacles and deliver results safely, enhancing productivity and demonstrating leading industry practice and performance.
Eastern Guruma won our Local Engagement category, for showing commitment to local workforce investment in regions we operate in, and making a positive impact on the wellbeing and value of the community.
IMC Alliance won our Environmental Sustainability category. This award recognised their contribution to reducing emissions across operations and supporting us to achieve our ESG objectives year on year. This included sustainable initiatives, products or services that positively impact, contribute to, or encourage conservation, reduction, re-use and recycling.
Kulbardi won our Care, Courage and Curiosity category for placing people at the heart of their business, through a commitment to building safe, respectful and inclusive workplaces and culture.
Sentient won our Innovation category for demonstrating market leadership through new technologies and services that drive tangible business value for our operations.
Tasman Power won our Health and Safety category, for leading safety performance on a Western Australian site and contributing to making a safer site, beyond their own scope of work.
