Katie was appointed Chief Executive, Copper in September 2024.
Prior to this, she was President of National Grid Ventures, where she led the development, financing and operation of large-scale energy infrastructure assets.
With a career spanning 3 continents, including senior roles at Shell, UBS, Anadarko, Equinor and BG Group, Katie brings deep operational, commercial and strategic experience. She is passionate about solving complex technical, operational and financial challenges to deliver value from large, global projects and to support the growth of Rio Tinto’s Copper business.
