Data reliability
Rio Tinto uses the 2001 US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Record Keeping Guidelines for reporting. The external assurance and data verification programme undertaken in 2005 and the internal corporate safety audit programme have verified the quality of safety data.
