RTFT cares about its relationship with neighbouring communities. With this in mind, for several decades it has maintained open, ongoing dialogues with three citizen committees : the Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola citizens committee, the Saint-Joseph-de-Sorel citizens committee, and the P-84 citizens committee. These communication channels are an opportunity for discussing community concerns and sharing information about RTFT’s environmental performance and measures taken to mitigate the impact of the company’s operations.
RTFT has a dedicated telephone line for receiving suggestions and feedback and hearing people’s concerns. An Environment Department advisor contacts everyone who leaves a message, in order to gather relevant information, analyse the situation, take any required action and communicate with the people concerned.
