Michael Merton

Michael Merton joined Rio Tinto in 1976. He is a chartered accountant, and was appointed head of Global Business Services in 2005, before which he was financial controller. He has had a number of senior roles within the Group, in the course of which he has lived and worked in a variety of countries including the United States, Australia and Papua New Guinea.
