Titanium dioxide

Rio Tinto Iron & Titanium (RTIT) comprises of the wholly owned Rio Tinto Fer et Titane (RTFT) in Quebec, Canada, 37 per cent interest in Richards Bay Minerals (RBM) in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and 80 per cent interest in QIT Madagascar Minerals. Through its operations RTIT supplies mainly titanium dioxide feedstock as its main product for sale as a raw material to titanium dioxide pigment producers. Other products include zircon, rutile, and a range of metallic products.

Titanium dioxide pigment is inorganic and the most commonly used white pigment in paints, plastics, paper and a wide range of other consumer products.
