Australian Science Innovations (ASI)

Rio Tinto and Australian Science Innovations (ASI) have been working together to develop and promote science education in Australia since 1997. The Rio Tinto Big Science Competition is open to every secondary school student throughout Australia. It aims to give students at all secondary levels an opportunity to discover an interest or talent in science.  The recently launched Rio Tinto Big Science Online is an interactive programme developed by teachers to provide flexible, interesting activities for use in the classroom and at home, for students from years seven to 12.  Both of these initiatives aim to encourage students to pursue an interest and possible career in science.
