GRI checklist
Rio Tinto reports in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3 guidelines. Accordingly, we use a materiality assessment to select what information should be included in our report. Please see our online report for further details. We declare that our web based GRI report is aligned with Application Level A+.
Our view is that the reporting principles identified in the GRI Guidelines are as important as the elements and indicators. So our GRI Checklist provides a guide as to how our reporting activities incorporate these principles.
In addition, we indicate where information relevant to the elements and indicators can be found in our Annual report and financial statements or elsewhere on our website.
Where elements and indicators in the guidelines are relevant to us, we aim to report against them. But in other areas, we have reported against those that are more relevant to driving performance improvements within our business.
