Rio Tinto continually engages with investors as part of our commitment to openness and good corporate governance.

Our approach

The main channels of communication with the investment community are through the chairman, the chief executive and the finance director, who conduct regular meetings with our major shareholders, chiefly institutional investors. The senior independent director and other non executive directors are also available as appropriate.

The senior management and directors are supported by a small investor relations team based in London and Melbourne. We organise regular investor seminars that provide a two way communication between senior management and investors and analysts. The valuable feedback is communicated to the board.
