Historically, investment agreements have not systematically included human rights clauses. However with the adoption of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the Rio Tinto's growing portfolio of operations in countries of higher human rights risk, we are currently reviewing our human rights controls to ensure that they remain fit-for-purpose in the context of changing exposures and expectations. We will be able to report more completely on this indicator within the next five years.
