The first of the Business Leadership Development programmes was conducted in Australia in December in conjunction with the Australian Graduate School of Management. This was attended by managers from a range of Rio Tinto Australian businesses and will be followed by further courses to be conducted in Australia and the US.

In February 2004, the first of the Senior Leadership Programmes was conducted in London in conjunction with the London Business School.
