Energy Resources Australia (ERA) (Rio Tinto 68.4 per cent) is proactively participating in the Jabiru region sustainability project. The objective of the project is to develop jurisdictional, economic, social and environmental outcomes that will enable the future sustainable development of the Jabiru region as an integral part of the Kakadu World Heritage Area. The project includes the participation of ERA, the indigenous traditional owners and their representatives, as well as relevant state and federal government agencies.
