Give yourself a head start - apply on your summer break and interview on campus in March 2012*
At Rio Tinto, we believe in doing things a little differently. That includes how we recruit our future graduates. This year, we are having a special early-intake for some of our key disciplines, so you can:
- secure a role early and go back to concentrating on your studies
- fast track through our recruitment process (with on-campus interviews in March instead of attending assessment centres later in the year)
- have a better chance of securing your first preference.

Secure your 2013 graduate position early!** Apply now if you are entering your final year in 2012 studying in:

- Geology, or

Applications for round 1 recruitment are open until 31 January 2012
**Rio Tinto 2011-2012 Vacation students do not need to apply for a 2013 role through this process. We will discuss eligibility for our graduate programme once you have spent some time with us over summer.

How to apply
Applications for Round One of Rio Tinto's 2013 Graduate Programme in Australia are now open!
If you are entering your final year of university in 2012 and are studying Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology or Surveying, and would encourage you to apply here. Applications for all other disciplines will open on 20 February 2012.
Applying online will take around 30 minutes. You'll need to answer some preliminary questions and upload your academic transcript and CV. Please make sure you give us a valid email address that you check regularly. Please note that Round One applications will close on 31 January 2012, however the recruitment team will commence reviewing applications as they are received online. So be quick and submit your application as soon as possible.
