With business units in South Africa, Namibia, Madagascar, Guinea, Zimbabwe and exploration taking place in several African countries, graduates can expect a wealth of opportunities from Rio Tinto's African operations. The corporate office is located in Sandton, Johannesburg.
In Africa we produce copper, bauxite, aluminium, uranium, diamonds, titanium minerals, zircon and pig iron.

All graduate recruitment opportunities are posted under their respective region.
Applications
Generally applications open in July each year and close end November. However, other positions may be posted at any time during the year.
All applications should be submitted online under the region of interest. There are no manual application forms.
Recruitment process
This will commence shortly after each advert closes. The process will include:
- Telephone interview
- Formal interview
- Psychometric assessment
- Medical examination
- Site visit
- Finally, an offer will be made if you have successfully made it through each stage above
