From working at a remote mine site in the Namib Desert, the mountains of Peru, icebound northern Canada, Mongolia or the tropical Kimberley Region of Western Australia or being based in an office in a major city such as Montreal, London, Johannesburg or Brisbane, the possibilities are extremely varied and very exciting.
For example, a secondment to the Resolution Copper Mine would see you in the mining town of Superior, about 65 miles south east of Phoenix and 97 miles from Tucson in the US state of Arizona. This is high desert country ideal for hiking, climbing, bird watching and photography. There are opportunities for boating on a number of nearby reservoirs.
