Safety

In 2007 there was one fatality at Resolution Copper and four fatalities at non managed operations (three at Grasberg and one at Escondida). For Copper group managed operations, the all injury frequency rate (AIFR) was 1.27 compared to 1.47 for 2006. There were notable improvements in AIFR at Kennecott Minerals (3.68 to 1.84) and Palabora (1.08 to 0.60).
