Occupational illness cases
The rate of new cases of occupational illness decreased in 2005 to 54 cases per 10,000 employees, a decrease from 73 in 2004. This improvement can be attributed to the implementation of the new occupational health standards across most businesses and raising the health profile through initiatives such as occupational health targets.
