Total and on site emissions
There was a seven per cent increase in total greenhouse gas emissions in 2005 compared to 2004. Ten operations, including six with smelting processes, contributed 77 per cent of total emissions and 62 per cent of on site emissions in 2005.
Over the past five years there has been a five per cent increase in total emissions and a nine per cent increase in on site emissions. Most of the change is due to continuing expansions and new developments.
