Data reliability
The measurements for mineral waste are related to production and/or processing rates. This is generally well documented.
Non mineral wastes are generated in much smaller quantities and from various activities at operations. Measurement of non mineral wastes demands a higher degree of estimation, as this requires adding tonnes of items that may not typically be collected on a per tonne basis. For example, it is more typical to count the number of batteries than to weigh them.
